Yes. Enjoy responsibly at the bungalow. No alcohol during game drives, as park regulations strictly prohibit it.

Recommended 8+ due to early starts. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent on all drives.

Each bungalow is assigned to one party. You never share with strangers.

We meet you at the park entrance. Pickup from Colombo/Anuradhapura available for a fee (Colombo: ~4 hours drive).

Free rescheduling up to 3 weeks before check-in. Within 3 weeks, DWC rules apply. Contact us for specifics.

Dry season (May-Oct): best wildlife viewing around water sources. Shoulder months (Mar-Apr, Oct-Nov): good visibility, fewer crowds. Dec-Feb: migratory birding.

Night drives are not permitted by DWC. But staying inside means you experience the night from your bungalow, which is compelling on its own.

Elephants, spotted deer, sambar, wild boar, numerous bird species. Leopard calls at night are common across all bungalows.

Extensions depend on DWC availability. Book Retreat or Explorer from the start rather than planning to extend.

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies and trip cancellation.

Filtered or bottled water is provided. Do not drink tap water.

Your naturalist and caretaker are trained in basic first aid. Evacuation to the nearest hospital can be arranged.
