What is Sloth Bear Season?

The period from May to July when sloth bears are most active and visible in Wilpattu. This coincides with the fruiting of Palu and Weera trees. During this season, bears climb trees to feed on the fruit, making them far easier to spot than when they are foraging on the forest floor.
